Home Prices On The Rise, Great Time to Invest in Real Estate

Posted by Matthew Teague on Fri, Dec 28, 2012

This week JP Morgan Chase stated that they are predicting home price increases of 3% to 9% in 2013. Across the board, demand for housing is on the rise, and consistent growth is expected for the forseeable future.  Low mortgage rates are helping fuel this growth, along with pent-up demand in the market place.  If you are considering building or remodeling your Cape Cod Home, now is a great time to take advantage of an exceptional investment opportunity. Considering demand is on the rise, expect construction costs to rise as well, as labor and materials will increase in concert with the demand curve. Botton line: this is a great time to build and make an investment with solid returns.

After the Election - What's Next for Housing and Real Estate

Posted by Matthew Teague on Tue, Nov 13, 2012

So the election has come and gone, and one of the key issues is still the economy and the impact of the housing and real estate markets.  So what does the next 4 years hold for those looking to own or build a New Home? Builder Magazine explored this issue in a recent article and there is some good news.  It looks like intrest rates will stay low to promote re-financing and new construciton. It also looks like the precious mortgage deduction will be protected, again promoting housing as a key sector of the economy.

Eastham Real Estate Update

Posted by Matthew Teague on Mon, Oct 22, 2012

Looks like Eastham is on track for another strong year of Real Estate sales.  The 2nd quarter numbers are in, and they seem to be typical of recovering market after the slower summer season.  Certain indicators like a reduced inventory and steady sales above past years are all good signs.  Did you know, for instance, that there are still 23 residential lots available for sale in Eastham, starting as low as $125,000? If you are thinking of Building, Renovation or Remodeling in Eastham, now is a great time to take advantage of low prices, and great interest rates.

Housing Data- Growth is Improving

Posted by Matthew Teague on Fri, Aug 10, 2012

The housing market has been in a real slump for the last several years.  As a Custom Home Builder, Remodeling, and Design firm on Cape Cod, we have felt this impact over the last several years.  Despite the consistent draw of people to the Cape, especially for retirement, we have found that people need to sell their primary residences off Cape to make the move.  Recently, the National Association of Home Builders published their outlook for 2012 and all signs are positive for the housing industry. In fact 2012 may be the first year in the last 7 for positive housing activity.  If you are thinking of building your new home on cape cod, or renovating or remodeling that old cottage, now is a great time to start planning your project!

Real Estate - Return on Investment

Posted by Matthew Teague on Fri, Mar 30, 2012
As a custom home builder on Cape Cod, we are constantly asked when is the right time to invest in new home or major renovation project.  Many of our clients have spent most of their adult life working towards their goal of retiring to the Cape full or part time, and they want to know that investing their life savings will provide a return on the investment.  In response to that we have offered the fact that in general, real estate has always been a sound investment, and we thought the chart below was rather interesting.  It shows that real estate has out-performed the major financial markets by almost 2 to 1 over the last 12 years!  So, if you are thinking of investing in real estate, now might be the best time ever!!!Real estate return on investment resized 600
