Looks like the housing market is back on the move!.  In both April and May, home sale prices increased, and June is looking positive as well. In some markets, home prices are back where they were in 2003! Opinions are all trending towards a stabilization of the market, and accordingly, REEF has begun to see some material prices increase of the last few months (over 2%).  This means that things are definitely on the move.    Kids Bedrooms are always tricky, and sometimes overlooked in the design and construction process.  As a custom home builder, renovation and remodeling firm, specializing in design-build project, we here at REEF try to take all of the new spaces into account.  Designing a room for one child can be simple, but designing for a shared bedroom can be challenging.   As a Custom Home Builder on Cape Cod, REEF is always watching indicators in the housing market.  We came across an interesting article yesterday talking about a very exciting trend.  Apparently the Blackstone Group has plans to acquire 2,000 homes facing foreclosure.  Their plan is to rent them, and then sell them once the market strengthens over the next several years.  The bottom line is that large, savvy investors still see value in the marketplace and are positioning themselves for the inevitable resurgeance of a strong real estate market. This spring REEF Field Supervisor Wesley Price, was commissioned by the Wequassett Resort, to design and build a Children's Pirate Ship Buffet Table. The project took about six weeks to complete.  The exterior of the boat was built entirely of reclaimed Western Red Cedar.  The floor and countertops are built of reclaimed Antique Heart Pine.
